Geronda Theologos of the Holy Mountain

A Rare Visit to Chicago

We are deeply honored to announce that Hieromonk Geronda Theologos, a spiritual child of St. Paisios and a monastic of St. Theologos Cells on the Holy Mountain of Athos, will be making an extended visit to Chicago beginning July 15th. We will continue to update our community with his schedule as it is finalized and announced.

A Life Poured Out in Mission

Geronda Theologos has devoted his life to Orthodox missionary work on a global scale. He served nine years in Albania alongside Archbishop Anastasios, and nine years in Congo where his mission bore tremendous fruit.

His work across these regions has brought forth churches, orphanages, clinics, schools, and monasteries — lasting monuments of faith raised up in communities that need them most.

Molah’s Relationship with Fr. Theologos

Through God’s grace, Molah has been blessed to build a meaningful relationship with Geronda Theologos and his mission. He has recently built and consecrated the Church of Saint Philip in the Kananga area of the Democratic Republic of Congo, and is now directing his efforts toward a new Sacred Temple in Kananga — a church to be dedicated to the African Saints.

Our Current Project

The construction of the Sacred Temple in the Democratic Republic of Congo is Molah’s current project, and we are actively working to support it.

His visit to Chicago is a rare and precious opportunity for our community to encounter a man whose entire life has been poured out in service to Christ and His people across the world.
