Kenya Orthodox Mission 2026

Missions of Love and Hope (MOLAH) is beginning the new year by supporting Orthodox communities in Kenya, offering hands-on help, faith-based teaching, and essential resources to those in need.

Missionaries: Ted & Eleni Karamatskos

Following the Colombia trip, Ted and Eleni will travel to Loitokitok, Kenya, to serve the YISCOG Rescue Centre, which cares for 52 children ages 2–18. Their work will include:

  • Providing essential items such as clothing, food, and school supplies

  • Supporting daily care for the children

  • Teaching agricultural skills to help the community grow its own food

  • Assisting with spiritual formation and educational development

  • Installing icons for 50 Churches

The orphanages depend heavily on outside donations and missionary support to meet their daily needs.

Why We Go

Many Orthodox communities in Colombia and Kenya lack basic resources, liturgical items, and educational support. By offering practical help—alongside spiritual teaching—MOLAH works to strengthen parish life, support vulnerable children, and help each community grow in faith and self-sufficiency.

How You Can Help

MOLAH’s mission work is made possible through the generosity of faithful supporters. You can help in three important ways:

1. Pray for the Mission

Your prayers are the most powerful support you can offer.

2. Join the Mission

If you feel called to participate in future trips, we welcome your interest.

3. Make a Donation

All financial gifts go directly toward mission expenses, children’s care, and community needs.
